Wedding Bands
A wedding band is among the few pieces of jewellery worn every single day. It should be chosen with the same care as the promise it represents.
At Proctors, we work with couples to find or create wedding bands that suit the way they live — pieces that hold up to daily wear, complement an engagement ring where relevant, and feel entirely right for the person wearing them.
Choosing Your Band
The best wedding band is the one that suits your life. For those who work with their hands, a lower-profile, durable style may be the most practical. For those who prefer something more sculptural, we can work with you to create exactly that. There is no single right answer, and we will never steer you toward something simply because it is conventional.
Metals
We work in yellow gold, white gold, rose gold, and platinum. Each has a distinct character, and each wears differently over time.
Yellow gold has warmth, depth, and a timelessness that few materials match. It develops a gentle patina over years of wear that many people find beautiful.
White gold has a bright, contemporary appearance. It is rhodium plated, which maintains its white finish and adds a protective layer. Over time, replating restores its original look.
Rose gold has a warmth that sits between yellow gold and white, with a slightly romantic quality that has made it a consistent favourite.
Platinum is the most durable of the precious metals, develops a unique patina over years of wear, and is hypoallergenic. It is denser and heavier than gold, which some wearers prefer.
Band Styles
We offer a range of styles from simple and polished to textured, pavé-set, or entirely bespoke. Many customers choose to match or complement their engagement ring; others prefer a band that stands entirely on its own. Both approaches are equally valid.
For those who want something made specifically for them, our workshop can craft a band to any specification — combining metals, incorporating stones, or following a design reference that has meaning for you.
For Both Partners
We welcome couples shopping together and apart. Many of our customers come in together to choose complementary pieces; others prefer to choose independently. Either way, we give each person the same unhurried, personal attention.
Timing
For ready-to-wear bands, most pieces can be sized and ready within a week or two. For custom or bespoke bands, we recommend allowing six to eight weeks. If you are working to a specific wedding date, please let us know when you make contact so we can plan accordingly.
Begin Here
Whether your wedding is three months away or three years, we would be glad to start the conversation whenever you are ready.
