Product Care
Product Care
Fine jewellery is made to last a lifetime — and beyond. With a little care, your pieces will remain as beautiful as the day you first wore them.
Daily Wear
We recommend removing jewellery before swimming, bathing, exercising, or applying skincare, perfume, or hairspray. Chemicals found in these products can dull precious metals and affect the integrity of certain gemstones over time.
Storing Your Pieces
Store each piece individually to prevent scratching. A soft-lined jewellery box with separate compartments is ideal. When travelling, use a dedicated jewellery pouch or roll.
Cleaning at Home
For gold and diamond pieces, a gentle clean using warm water, a small amount of mild dish soap, and a soft-bristled brush will restore their natural brilliance. Rinse thoroughly and pat dry with a soft, lint-free cloth.
Avoid ultrasonic cleaners for pieces set with pearls, opals, emeralds, or other delicate stones, as vibration can cause damage.
Professional Cleaning and Servicing
We recommend bringing your jewellery to us annually for a professional clean and inspection. Over time, prongs can wear and stones can loosen — catching these early protects pieces that are often irreplaceable.
Caring for Specific Stones
Diamonds: Durable and resilient, though still susceptible to hard knocks. Clean regularly to maintain brilliance.
Pearls: Wipe gently with a damp cloth after each wear. Store separately and away from harsh chemicals.
Opals: Sensitive to extreme temperatures and dry conditions. Avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight.
Coloured gemstones: Varies by stone. Please ask us for specific guidance when purchasing.
If you have any questions about caring for a particular piece, we are always happy to advise.
